Adidas has officially unveiled its collection of Ultra Boost sneakers based on the great houses of Westeros (plus the Night’s Watch and White Walkers). The shoes have been long rumored, but now we have an official release date of March 22, which according to Adidas’ shipping policies gives you ample time to gets on whichever pair you choose between the April 14 premiere of Game of Thrones season 8! I’ll take two of each, please.
Alberto Uncini Manganelli, the General Manager of Adidas Running, made the line sound like a no-brainer. “Collaborations with franchises like Game of Thrones are part of our DNA. When brands and television series alike are able to move beyond their primary platform and spill into popular culture, we see inspiration.”
They also see dollar signs, as each pair of shoes will set you back a cool $180. But who’s worried about money when you have House Stark shoes?
Or how about the Night’s Watch sneakers? This is no time for counting coppers.
There are two varieties of House Targaryen shoes. The all-white pair is available exclusively in women’s sizes:
Then there’s the slightly more aggressive version:
The House Lannister sneaker is appropriately dazzling, although Cersei might be upset to learn they cost the same as the other pairs:
And finally, the White Walkers get some ice blue footwear:
The shoes also include small details like house words on a heel tag and on the laces, as well as Game of Thrones insoles. You can view the entire lineup, including size availability, here, ahead of the March 22 release date. The shoes will primarily be available online, although select retailers will carry a selection as well. Anyone have the number for the Iron Bank?
